Palak means spinach and Gosht means meat. Palak gosht is a spinach and meat curry that is usually eaten with homemade roti. Palak gosht is a common household dish and is hardly ever seen at restaurants. Unlike Biryani and Korma, which tend to be reserved for special occasions, Palak Gosht is considered a rozana recipe to be enjoyed any day of the week with your family!

Ingredients

1-2 lb Chicken

2-4 cups Spinach

1 tbsp Ginger

1 tbsp Garlic

1 medium Onion

1 Tomato

1-2 tbsp oil

1 tbsp Kashmiri chili powder

1/2 tsp garam masala

1/4 tsp Turmeric

1 tsp Methi(Fenugreek leaves)

1 tsp Salt

2-3 tbsp Lemon juice

Directions

  • Blanch and blend spinach and set aside

  • Marinate the chicken with salt, dry spices, garlic, and ginger paste for an hour

  • Heat oil and add finely chopped onion. Fry until golden brown

  • Next, add chicken and cook for a few minutes until the outside appears cooked
